Been Away Too Long.

Here it is August 17, 2015!
So much has happened in our family!  It would be hard to say all that has taken place.  Two very serious illnesses. And yeah! Another great great grand baby.
I hope that now I will stay on top of this blog.

Church Dinner

Today is our All Church Dinner for Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for. Every where I look I see beauty.

I looked at my friend (of over 50 years) at church this morning and thought how good God has been to me. My family blesses me every day, so do my friends. I think of other friends that I have that goes back over 60 years. Bib passed away this past April, sometimes it brings tears to my eyes just thinking of all the times we spent together. She and I were neighbors in San Jose Ca. Others live near by or at least in the state of Oklahoma. Even if we don't see each other often we just pick up where we left off!

My granddaughter and her two little girls came to see me yesterday. They are such a joy. It had been a little while since I saw them. I gave them a choice of caps that I have ready for donation. They had a lot to choose from (78) but not as many as last year with over 200. They go to a children's home.

Guess I had better get my dessert finished for the dinner. Next time I will give you the recipe for that.

I have been told that a person can find anything on the internet, while this may be true it does take a little knowledge...what I know about this type thing is next to nothing. So please be patient while I learn. I will try to do this right.
